One Mirror, Lots of Very Confused Wildlife
The idea couldn’t be much simpler. Place a large mirror in the bush, position cameras nearby and wait for the local wildlife to discover its reflection.
What makes the footage so entertaining is that every visitor seems to have a different response. Some animals cautiously inspect the stranger in front of them, while others react as though an unexpected rival has suddenly appeared in their territory.
Others become more curious. They move around the mirror, examine it from different angles and sometimes look behind it, apparently trying to understand where the mysterious animal has gone.
That’s what makes watching animals see a mirror so much fun. We know exactly what they’re looking at, but we never know how the next animal will respond to it.
